21 Days of Connection

A Spiritual Discipline for the Month of January - Fellowship
This month we are encouraging the Antioch Church family to pray, invite, and meet!
Typically in January, we cultivate the spiritual discipline of fasting corporately as a church. However, this year, we felt we need to lean into a different discipline.
21 Days of Connection - Antioch Church
Be a Connector
Introduce colleagues, friends or acquaintances that might get along to each other.
Be a Giver
Give a small gift or offer a small favor for someone. Generosity inspires more generosity.
Be an Encourager
Write a note, send a text message, or call someone to give them a word of encouragement.

Who Can You Connect With?
This last year, isolation and distance took it's toll. After an extended time of disconnection, we want to re-engage and reconnect with each other, with co-workers, with friends, and with people who do not know Christ.
Put one of these cards on your refrigerator or in your Bible. Pray about who the Lord might be leading you to connect with and write their name under, pray, invite, and/or meet.
Then, reach out to them and let them know you want to connect!
Here are some ideas for connecting:
-Send a text to let someone know you are thinking of them/praying for them.
-Call an old friend and catch up. Encourage them, listen to their stories from this last year.
-Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to give you a word of exhortation or blessing for someone you recently met.
-Get to know a new friend over coffee or lunch (where possible). If you are not able to go to a restaurant, eat lunch over FaceTime or Zoom.
-Ask a question like:
-How did you end up living in Colorado?
-What is something you are proud of that you did recently?
-Where do you like to vacation?
-What recharges you?
-What motivates you to work hard?
-If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
-What makes you laugh the most?
-What do you feel like the Lord is teaching you?
-Do you have a favorite passage of scripture?
Our hope is that the people of Antioch feel more connected and encouraged. Please share your testimonies of reaching out and initiating connection! Imagine how much more meaningful and rich our time together on Sunday mornings will be when we are connecting during the week.
